Capital Gazette: Judge orders Russett Community Association officials replaced

The president of the Russett Community Association’s board of directors said he is weighing his options after an Anne Arundel Circuit Court judge ordered that he and the association’s vice president be replaced.
The order could lead to the resolution of a heated dispute that has divided the association’s members for months. A group of association members has been seeking to oust President Colin Sandy and Vice President Tim Reyburn since February. That effort culminated in recall elections initiated by association members in March and June.
The March vote was later voided. But in an Aug. 25 opinion, Circuit Court Judge Paul Goetzke ordered that the June vote be counted and the board’s new leadership be seated.Goetzke appointed Annapolis-based attorney Jonathan Hodgson to oversee the process and report to the court by Oct. 16. Hodgson is a former Anne Arundel County attorney.Sandy said Thursday he is waiting to see how the process plays out before he decides his next move. Read more:
